On this week's edition of #FoodieFriday I'd like to discuss the restaurant Hen Quarter. With three restaurants in the DMV area, HQ provides delicious food for your soul. I went to the Silver Spring location recently to celebrate my mother's birthday and per usual, it did not disappoint! Located not too far from the Gallery Place Metro stop (801 9TH ST. NW, Washington, DC), Cuba Libre is a Cuban inspired restaurant that, on the weekends, offers, you guessed it - BRUNCH! Whenever I'm in the 804 after having not been there in a long time, I always make a plan to hit up one of my favorite restaurants: Croaker Spot. J-Petal: Blacksburg’s Newest Restaurant

Last week I decided to try a new restaurant called J-Petal. According to their website, it's a Japanese crepe and Thai ice-cream shop. They have a few locations around the east coast, Ohio, and Tennessee. The Blacksburg location had just opened and some friends and I decided to try it out while they were having their BOGO promotion (buy one, get one 50% off).
